They Should Go

 dear friend of mine used to pray before our Sunday school class that we would have an “aha” moment. A precious moment in life where the Holy Spirit illuminated our hearts to what we were studying. These are moments of understanding beyond our ability to manifest on our own.

            The idea for this book was just such a moment. It came about as I counseled teens and Young College bound adults in understanding how to plan for their future. Theresa and I had spent some time in an assessment center, where we were tested to find our “blueprint” or “profile.” As I counseled people I found myself referring more and more to the testing process we had discovered in the assessment center. Then the “aha” moment came. Why not use the same system we used at the center to help parents find out how their child is designed. As parents we had used many of the techniques you will read about in the book to understand as much as possible about our children. As our children got older we used some of the online tests to help understand more about them. The tests used at the assessment center filled in the gaps in our understanding. Subsequently I designed a simple worksheet to help find a person’s passion in life.

            Together these testing and questioning strategies will help you to understand how God designed your child. Armed with this information you will be in a position to assist your child in following God’s will for their lives. It is our conviction that you will find a healing in your family relationships if you make it a point to heed the advice in this book for your entire family.
