What is A MAPS Career Assessment?
A MAPS Career Assessment is a series of assessments, or surveys that asks you a group of questions. Your answers to these questions reveal your temperament, personality and working or leadership style.
In addition to testing, the MAPS System also offers Personal Interview and Video Coaching. By taking the MAPS Career Assessment, and reviewing the results, you can be sure that you understand your temperament, working style, and personality so that you can select and pursue a successful and fulfilling career.
Detailed behavioral traits analyses include:
Emotions Goals
How you can influence others
What to create value for the organization
What behaviors you tend to overuse
How you tend to behave under pressure
What you fear
How to increase your effectiveness
A MAPS Career Assessment delves under the conscious level of knowledge that you have about yourself and pulls out your true identity, revealing to you the secrets of your personality, behavioral traits, and personal strengths and talents.
How does MAPS work?
MAPS Career Assessment is composed of four separate assessments, each of which provides valuable insights into different facets of your identity. Together, these assessments offer a three-dimensional perspective of yourself.
1. The DISC Classic describes how people view themselves
2. The Myers-Briggs test describes how people approach the working environment intellectually and attitudinally, and how they process information.
3. The Strengths Finders 2.0 test evaluates what talents, (intellectual ability) and strengths (an asset of special worth or utility) a person is gifted with. It helps us understand what we are good at instead of how we behave.
4. The Temperament Sorter gives you an overview of the applicant’s personality type and is helpful in describing how they will interact with people.
What Makes MAPS Different?
Other College & Career assessment systems focus on identifying what you think they can do; MAPS first focuses on who you are and what your potential is in a particular field, not just what you can do.
Other assessment systems identify skills by subjectively focusing on what an applicant says they can do. The MAPS system is holistic and objective. It covers genetic makeup, behavioral attitudes, passion, drive, and emotional and thinking patterns.
The MAPS system does not just test proficiency in technical skills. The MAPS system provides insight into your suitability for various occupations and types of relationships in leadership and management.
Almost all staff assessment testing found in this space are cumulative in nature in that they accumulate user’s favorable and unfavorable answers making them highly susceptible to manipulation by the user. MAPS Career Assessment is a scientifically developed and administered Psychometric testing process; the tests cannot be faked or manipulated without being found out in the results.
