High Octane Living offers books, web sites, seminars, coaching and third party testing instruments to assist churches and ministries with Christian leadership training and church growth.

Christian Leadership Training

Church growth is often thought of in terms of the organization, programs and policy. At High-Octane Living we believe that Church growth and church ministry go hand in hand. Church growth is most effectively accomplished when it is approached from an organic perspective rather than an organizational perspective. In other words, it is about God and His people. Each of us search for God's plan in our lives, but it is elusive and we often need help to get us following the path He has designed us for.

Church Ministry

All Christians are called to Church ministry. It is our responsibility as followers of Jesus Christ to minister. How we minister within the Church which brings so much frustration to both Church Leadership and parishioners. High-Octane ministry is about learning how God has designed an individual to do Church ministry.

Church Growth

High-Octane growth is achieved through Christian leadership training at an organic level. Seminars and conferences are offered which assist Church leadership in profiling memberships talents, gifts and strengths. Church growth results because people are plugged into Church ministry that matches there talents and gift profiles.

Spiritual Gift Tests

Spiritual gift tests are becoming common place within the Church today. Leaders are utilizing them to assist members in finding a role within the Church which they are equipped to minister. If spiritual gift tests are used on their own to get a congregation into a participation mode, the results will be minimal because they are not motivational at there core. Spiritual gift tests seek to discover where a member is most led by the spirit to work within the Church. It is the work part that gets to most people. Most members have full time jobs, raise families and have to work around the house just to stay on top of things. The idea of finding an area in the Church where they can function well just means they have yet another responsibility. If Church leadership training includes talents, strengths, leadership style and personality traits in the mix, members will discover how God made them and will be motivated to further seek God's will is in their lives.

Natural Church Development

Natural church development is organic, not systematic, not programmatic. Real Church growth follows organic growth of members supported by programs. Once an individual understands how God has designed them they will begin to function within the framework God intended them to grow within. It is not that church growth strategy will not succeed when powered by programs, it is just that it will not have the expected results if people do not work within there God designed role.

Church Leadership Training

High-Octane Living provides Church leadership training. This training consists of seminars, conferences and Church growth strategies based upon High-Octane Living principles. High-Octane Living provides dynamic direction for the way God designed you. If your Church leadership training program does not include growing your leaders in the direction God designed them the results will be less than satisfactory.

Church Growth Strategy

Different Church growth strategy abound. Most of them have much to offer and can help in revitalizing a congregation. The trouble is most of them are organizational and not organic in nature, putting a list of things to do ahead of the more important question, how did God design your congregation to grow. Once Church leadership understands the profiles of the people that minister within the Church they are in a much better position to have effective Church growth strategy work.

Career Advice

Get to know yourself early on, take the personal assessment and read them at least once a year.
Call me for a career coaching session once you have completed the assessments. It will be the best two hundred dollars you will ever spend.
Learn to plan, plan your day, your week and your life. Not having a plan is planning to fail.
Develop a five year plan. Figure out where you want to be in five years. Then fill in the things you have to do between now and then, and start doing them.
Discover your true passion, list all the things you love to do, then how you feel about them, then list what it is you are actually doing that makes you feel that way. Read the results carefully for patterns. These patterns will give you insights into your personal passions. Use this information to find a career which will allow you to use your passion.
If you have not finished college, do it now, if you need coaching, get it now. If you are not sure what your passions are in life, get help now. Find this stuff out while you can still do something about it. If you hate your work, plan to get out of it into something you love.
If what you love is difficult to make a living at, like art, music, drama etc., find a plan B, make what you love your hobby and try to make a little money at it, if you love it, just getting a chance to do it will keep you satisfied.
Do not get fooled into thinking that you are going to work just to earn money, money is a terrible task master. Instead, work at what you enjoy, you will be good at it and people will pay you well when you do it.
If you own your own company, read the white papers, they will help you do it right. If you are thinking about starting a ministry or a business, there are resources at this site that will assist you.
